Virgin Mobile to launch LG Optimus V on 1st Feb

Virgin Mobile USA announced on their Facebook fan page, that they are releasing the LG Optimus V Android phone on 1st of Feb 2011. The phone is essentially same like the original LG optimus or LG Optimus S for Sprint users except the physical button placement below the big touchscreen on the face of the phone. The specifications are expected to be same as the original ones, having Android 2.2, Wi-Fi, GPS, 3G, and all the usual Android goodness, like Google apps and more. For Android users it is a good news as LG Optimus is considered among one of the best Android Phones available in the market. No other news regarding plans and pricing is yet revealed. Motorola divided into two companies

Motorola have completed the division of its company into two separate companies. The company that focuses on smartphones will be called Motorola Mobility Holdings and its parent company will be called Motorola Solutions. Motorola Solutions will focus on providing innovative and pioneering communications products to governments, public safety and enterprise customers. The reasons for separation is so that both Motorola Mobility and Motorola Solutions can become more flexible strategically and operationally, its management can focus on more specific tasks and areas, and also more targeted investment opportunities for potential investors. Motorola Mobility Motorola Mobility began operating today and it consists of the mobile devices and home business divisions from former company Motorola. Motorola mobile devices include Android and Defy phones.  Motorola Mobility will focus mainly on opportunities that have risen from the coming together of mobility, media, computing and the internet. Sony GDC Panel Info Hints At Open PlayStation Move Development On PCs

We have seen such device, 3D Kinect for Microsoft XBOX Console, but Microsoft is fairly far away for its support for PC. However, Kinect hardware maker PrimeSense later released a set of drivers for PC-based Kinect, and Microsoft has promised XNA support for the device. The official announcement on Sony’s Motion Controller for PC will be held by sponsored GDC session by SCEA’s senior developer support engineer John McCutchan on 2 March, which will include information about PlayStation Move development that refers to “the new Move Server project that will make it possible for academics and hobbyists to develop software using the PlayStation Move controller.” Who knows that the future technologies like motion controller will replace mouse and keyboards?
