Intel Flashes Medfield SoC based Smartphone
A Medfield SoC (System-on-chip) based smartphones was briefly speckled at the recent Intel sales conference by Anand Chandrasekher, senior vice president and general manager of Intel Ultra Mobility Group. It was hard to tell whether he was holding exemplar hardware or an upcoming smartphone of leading Brand. This smartphone have 32nm fabrication process technology based Medfield system on a chip. The Medfield SoC is an Intel atom processor descendant and has a corroboration of memory controller, I/O mapping and multimedia function support on a single chip. As of now, two versions are likely to be announced – one that can handle standard graphics and one for high-end graphics. The news also buzzes that the upcoming Nokia N9 might be equipped with a 1.2 Ghz Intel Atom processor and supports 4G LTE Network!
